Visit our Project Area in the slums of Kibera, just outside of Nairobi, Kenya. Your heart will break at the desperation, while you fall in love with the vibrant people of Kenya.
Visit our Ethiopian Project Areas
Here you will experience a simple way of life and be captivated by the rich Ethiopian culture.
Ethiopia: October 3rd-10th
Visit our newest projects in southern Malawi. Malawi is often called the warm heart of Africa.

Wednesday morning travel and devotion. Travel to Sodo with a stop to visit the beautiful people of remote Gutumuma. Stay at Haile Hotel.
Visit Hanicha project area families. Travel back to Sodo and overnight at Haile Hotel Sodo.
Visit Shashemene project area families. Overnight at Haile Hotel Awasa.
Travel back to Addis Ababa. Closing program and dinner at Abebe and Abonesh's home. Team departs for U.S. in the evening.

TRIP REQUIREMENTS
American citizens traveling abroad must have valid passport that does not expire within 6 months of travel. Apply at your nearest passport office.
VISA: KENYA - required
VISA: ETHIOPIA - required
FHI will provide step-by-step instructions to apply for your Visas.
Non-American citizens need to check with CTO for requirements.
Malawi does not require a travel visa for U.S. citizens.
VACCINATION - YELLOW FEVER
You are advised to see a travel nurse prior to trip.
TRIP CONDITIONS
BOOKING: A deposit of $1,000 per person for
Vision Trip is required at time of booking. Detailed
payment schedule will be mailed after registration.
HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS: Private rooms with private baths unless traveling with a companion. Discounts are offered for shared rooms.
CHECKED BAGGAGE: Limit to one normal size suitcase, not to exceed 50 pounds.
INCLUDES: All in-country ground fees.
EXCLUDES: Flights, any luggage fees, U.S. hotel, visa fees, travel insurance, passport fees.
CANCELLATIONS: Deposits are fully refundable
until July 1st. Thereafter, any cancellations will require the forfeit of any fees acquired by FHI.
