EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS
Jeff and his wife Crystal are parents to eleven children, many through the blessing of adoption both domestically and from Ethiopia and China. Jeff has served in many business and ministry leadership roles. He founded Family Hope International in 2011 to address the crisis of families caught in extreme poverty. He is committed to seeing the vision of Family Hope International grow so that more families can be set free from extreme poverty.
Ethan became passionate about orphan prevention after his first visit to Ethiopia in 2013. He is driven to see all families in our program achieve long term self-sufficiency through launching and growing small business enterprises. Ethan and his wife, Patty, have two children and their entire family has had the opportunity to serve in Ethiopia with Family Hope International.

Larry Hurt
Executive Board Member
Larry and his wife, Tammy, have seven children, two of which are twins adopted from Ethiopia. He is recently retired from a long and successful career in pharmaceutical sales. Larry is a strong believer and has been an elder and leader at his church for many years. His business background and heart for the orphan keep him focused on keeping families together.

Zetta Stam
Executive Board Member
Zetta and her husband Todd have 5 children and have adopted from Ethiopia. Zetta has a heart for helping families and more specifically, the extreme poor. She has been involved with many nonprofits that focus on caring for orphans, widows, families and pastors and has served on school and athletic boards. She has been to Ethiopia many times and to Kenya and has a HUGE heart for the people of Africa.

Karen Gardner
Executive Board Member
Karen has enjoyed a successful and diverse career in healthcare and strategic business development and will be a great addition to FHI. Karen and her husband Mike live in Idaho and are highly active in their local church. They enjoy visiting family spread all over the U.S. Karen has been to Ethiopia with FHI and has a passion for stabilizing and sustaining families living in extreme poverty.
Jessica held her CPA license for 12 years and has been working with nonprofits the majority of her 15-year accounting career. She loves Jesus and feels so grateful to work with an organization whose mission is to further the Kingdom. Jessica and her husband Shelton have 4 precious babies.
Morgan helps manage, oversee and execute our program. She is responsible for ensuring that our FHI processes are operating effectively. She also
continues to provide support to our U.S. Sponsors and monitors our sponsored families as they move through the program. Morgan and her husband Ben have four children and have adopted from Ethiopia.

Judy Chatfield
Prayer
Judy is a widowed mother of five and grandmother of fifteen, living in Idaho. She stays active in her church and community and is grounded in her faith. After a life-changing trip to Ethiopia in 2018, Judy developed a deep passion for helping families in poverty. Her heart for service and commitment to making a difference continue to guide her work and inspire others.

Michael Patrick & Kerrie Hurd
Charitable Giving
Michael Patrick of Eagle, Idaho, served 23 years in the U.S. Army, where he led diverse missions and earned multiple commendations for leadership and service. Following his military career, he spent 23 years as a trusted financial advisor. His wife, Kerrie Hurd, a former Army Reserve Major, also served over 20 years in the military. She was the previous SBA Seattle Director and brings experience in lending, tech commercialization, and entrepreneurship, with prior SBA roles in Idaho and New Mexico. Today, they passionately support Family Hope International’s mission to uplift families through sustainable, faith-driven programs and global outreach.

Randy Bourn
Ethiopia
Randy is passionate about seeing people thrive in a relationship with Jesus, and has joined the ministry of Family Hope International to see families in Africa experience wholeness physically, emotionally, and spiritually! Randy and his wife Brenda have a daughter, Zoe, and live in Boise, ID, where Randy serves as a pastor. Randy's heart for the church and the people of Africa has grown during his many trips to Ethiopia and Kenya in support of the ministry of FHI.

Chad and Amyee McKnight
Malawi
Chad and Amyee have one desire: to be used by Yahweh, serving Him by serving His people—wherever and however He calls. “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here I am. Send me!’” —Isaiah 6:8. They are the proud parents of eight children and are always ready for the next adventure. Their lives are anchored in the call to “seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” —Matthew 6:33.

Patrick Kasongo

Patrick serves as campus pastor at One Community Church in Lewisville, leading spiritual growth and community impact. With a Finance degree from the University of Arlington, he also provides personalized financial strategies for college planning, retirement, and long-term care. Passionate about prayer, leadership, and equipping others, Patrick blends ministry and financial expertise to empower lives. He and his wife Naike have four children: Zoe, Zion, Ezechiel, and Elijah.

Abalo Tehoungue
Liberia - COMING SOON
Abalo Tehoungue, originally from Liberia, is a civil engineer, theologian, entrepreneur, and founder of Study The Word. A former global intern in Canada and graduate of Colorado Technical University, he blends faith, leadership, and technical expertise. Now based in the U.S., Abalo champions discipleship, family values, and human rights. He leads multiple ventures, including Kingdom Solutions International, and is committed to empowering communities through spiritual growth, education, and sustainable
development.

Sarah Wisk

Sarah has been married to her husband, Kipp for 25 years. They have four children and have adopted from Ethiopia and domestically. In her spare time Sarah loves to spend time with her family, she also enjoys gardening. Sarah’s calling is to care for children and she is excited to be a part of FHI and keeping families intact.

Jenessa Gonzales
Sponsor Care Coordinator
Jenessa runs a private classical piano studio, where she shares her love of music through teaching. Jenessa finds joy in being close to family, serving in her local church, participating in book club, exploring the outdoors, and traveling. She had the opportunity to travel to Africa in 2024, which deeply enriched her perspective, and she looks forward to returning in the near future.
