Kadija, 40, is a resilient mother raising her two children, Zenu (14) and Guyo (6), on her own. After her husband left in search of work and never returned to support the family, Kadija became solely responsible for providing for her children. She earns about $15 per month through small retail activities, an income that is barely enough to meet their basic needs.
