This family has recently lost sponsorship in our program. Pastor Patrick Shikanda is a devoted leader at Liberty Gospel Ministers, where he lives on the church grounds with his wife, Scholar, and their three children. For 30 years, their family has called Kibera home, making the most of a modest two‑room house while facing ongoing financial challenges. Scholar contributes through her small catering business, and together they remain prayerful and hardworking. 
Thanks to previous support, the family has received timely food assistance and valuable training. This encouragement has opened doors for both ministry growth and financial stability. With a small business loan from FHI, Patrick recently launched a combined snack and M‑Pesa business—an exciting step toward sustainability.
