Phanice, 38, lives in Kibera with her husband Patrick (48) and their three children: Rachael (23), Isaac (22), and Jeridah (16). Rachael and Isaac are in college, while Jeridah is in Form Two. Patrick lives with a disability and requires ongoing treatment, leaving Phanice as the sole provider. She earns about $16/month selling Christian sacramental items, which is not enough to meet her family’s needs, especially with two children in college and medical expenses. They rent a modest home for $20/month and purchase clean water regularly. Phanice is eager to expand her business to better support her family. A devoted Catholic and born-again Christian, she finds strength in her faith and hopes to join FHI not only for financial empowerment but also to be part of a faith-rooted community. She is seeking support to uplift her family and build a more stable, hopeful future.
