Her eldest, Shanice (15), attends boarding school, while Angela (9) is in Grade 4. Myla earns about $40/month helping at a friend’s salon, which barely covers essentials. Rent for their single-room home is $28/month, but the space floods during rain and lacks basic items like utensils. She cooks on a small coil stove, which is unsafe and unreliable. Despite these challenges, Myla is hopeful. She dreams of opening a beauty shop to provide a stable income and a better life for her children. A committed Christian, she draws strength from her faith and church community. Myla is humbly seeking support through Family Hope International to help break the cycle of poverty and build a more secure future for her family.
