Naomi is a 40-year-old single mother doing everything she can to provide for her family. She has five children: Pheric (28), Benjamin (25), Alex (23) Jackson (20, in Form 4), and Catherine (14, in Grade 8). After separating from her husband several years ago she became the sole provider for her children. She sells tomatoes to earn a living, but her income is not nearly enough to cover their needs. They live in a rented mud house coated with sand, where they have stayed for the past two years. The house is in poor condition; every time it rains, water seeps in and the roof leaks, making their living conditions even more difficult. Despite these hardships, she remains hopeful and grounded in her faith. Naomi dreams of opening a small shop that would provide her with a stable and reliable source of income so that she can properly care for her family.
