Felister and her family have recently lost sponsorship in our program. Felister, a devoted grandmother in Kibera, is battling breast and lung cancer, along with diabetes, while caring for her grandchildren, Dylan (4) and Nadia (2). After her daughters faced painful separations, Felister became their primary caregiver. Her daughters now work long hours or run small businesses to help, but the family still struggles to afford food, rent, and medical care. In late 2024, Felister’s health deteriorated rapidly during chemotherapy, and she was rushed to Kenyatta Hospital, spending days in the ICU before being transferred to the cancer ward. Despite these hardships, Felister remains deeply grateful for your support, calling it “manna” in her life. Monthly food assistance has been a lifeline, and she dreams of starting a small clothing business to earn a stable income. Her faith sustains her, but she urgently needs continued support to survive and build a better future for her family.
