Asegedech Tola, a 35-year-old single mother, has been raising her three children alone since her husband disappeared four years ago. Her children—Hymanot (17, grade 11), Habtamu (15, grade 9), and Kekiya (5, KG2)—are healthy and full of potential, but the burden of providing for them rests solely on her. Earning just $30 per month from temporary work, with half going to rent, Asegedech struggles to meet their basic needs, including food, clothing, and education. Despite these hardships, she remains determined to give her children a better future. Asegedech dreams of starting a mini shop, which would provide a steady income and bring stability to her family.
