Joyce Awuor experienced the loss of her husband a few years ago. She is the mother to two lovely boys: Jacob, now 18 years old, who discontinued school in grade 10 due to financial constraints, and Samuel, 16 years old and currently in seventh grade. They live in Kibera slums and pay a monthly rent of $23.
To sustain her family, Joyce sells maize and earns her just about $45/month. While this provides for some of their basic needs, the escalating cost of living often leaves them struggling to meet various requirements. Joyce occasionally grapples with chest and back pains but has been unable to seek medical attention due to financial limitations. Similarly, Samuel Garang experiences chest issues, particularly in cold and rainy seasons. Joyce and her family attend church. Your support will ensure their basic needs are met and give them hope for the future.
